Vinod Kambli and entertainment seem made for each other as he is expected to enter the Bigg Boss 3 house tonight! (Hope Sachin Tendulkar knows the number to dial to save his childhood friend from any future evictions). The buzz around Kambli does not seem to die down. First, it was his allegations against Tendulkar and BCCI about his stint with the Indian cricket team. Then, it was his standing for the elections for the Lok Bharti party that did not win him the Vikroli seat in Mumbai. But all through there have been numerous conversations about Kambli, his cricketing days, his wild ways, his second wife, Andrew Hewitt-Kambli, being possibly the hottest WAG among Indian cricketers’ wives, although Kambli’s designs with the cricket team went awry amidst behaviour issues, not to mention injuries. But it has not stopped him from participating on reality television shows including a dance competition alongside Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh (with whom he had constant run ins), and Sreesanth. After the explosive “Sach ka Saamna” on “Star Plus”, speculation was rife that after Salil Ankola, another Indian cricketer was expected to add a longer stint with Endemol and Colours channel. It now appears that Navjot Singh Sidhu and Ajay Jadeja will have to forego some attention because Kambli with first meet up with Big B Amitabh Bachchan and then, make his way to cause some tremors in Bigg Boss house, the Indian edition of Big Brother, that has already seen one new entrant in Pravesh Rana. Sadly for the masala viewers, though the Bollywood-cricket connection, Shilpa Shetty may not be extending her cricket dalliance (as co owner of the Rajasthan Royals) to sister, Shamita Shetty, who may sooner than expected exiting the house to attend Shilpa’s wedding to businessman and coowner, Raj Kundra, slated for the end of November. Hopefully for Kambli, this innings will prove a longer stint, and less controversy filled (no chance of the latter!)
